The After School Scholar
The After School Scholar is an Academic Advancement Center for students in grades Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.
We are focused on providing a fun and caring environment for students to enjoy after school. We ensure your child’s homework is completed and checked prior to our pickup time of 6:30PM.
We provide transportation from school and bring your kiddos to our beautiful location in Lutz. With big pillows, chalk painted furniture, and a comfy couch, your child will feel right at home.
Our trained tutors work with your child, providing the time and attention needed to nurture their unique learning style and accomplish their personal learning goals.

A Typical Day at
The After School Scholar
Each afternoon, we begin by having a snack and organizing planners and assignments. We then tackle the day’s homework assignments. We work with each student to answer questions and ensure all of the work is completed. When the homework is complete, we review the answers to make sure your student is on track and understands their work.
When there is extra time after homework, we engage the students in reading and educational activity centers or play card games and work on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) projects.
Parents and teachers work with us to target each student’s particular learning needs and educational goals. Since your student comes to us directly from school, they are still in “learning mode” and still retain the lessons covered in their classroom .
Students can stay with us until our designated Pick Up time of 6:30PM or they can leave earlier if that works better for your schedule. The remainder of your evening can now be used for family fun because the homework is complete!
